before: waiting room chairs

My dad's factory is in the midst of a move to a new location, and he offered me these (this?) gross vintage office waiting room chair for free. What do you think I should do with it? Obviously get rid of the orange pleather ... but replace it with what? And I don't really have room for this in my studio; do you think I should sell it? Or put it in the warhouse? Hmmm ... I need help!

It would be great to find some complimenting fabrics (one patterned, one solid) and reupholster one with each.

I think it could look fabulous and dramatic if you painted the timber black (or white) and found some fabric with a simple graphic pattern to cover the chairs. Then make a little assemblage of vases and bowls (or a collection of objects) on the centre section. You could even buy some storage boxes in a plain colour to slide neatly underneath. I could be amazing.

Thanks for your suggestions! I think it has potential. I'm going to check my mom's collection of upholstery fabric to see if she has anything I can swipe. I like Lisa's idea of assembling a little scéne in the center part. And I might paint the wood party citron with the paint I have left over from last year's National Stationery Show booth.
